STRUCTURE AND FEES

We teach two five-month sessions per year: the fall/winter session begins in September and runs until the end of January; the spring session then starts right up at the beginning of February and finishes with a recital/fundraiser in June. (Please note that performance in this show is open to all members but not mandatory.)

The registration fee for one session:

New member fee is $155.
Includes a one-time music charge of $20

Returning member fee is $135.

Should extenuating circumstances force you to withdraw from the choir part way through a term please contact our manager to discuss a credit for a future session.

We have a father/son (up to age 21) rate available for anyone interested. The son should be old enough to stay focused through a two-hour practice. Sons pay 1/2 the regular fee.

You will receive a set of practice CD's when you register. The lyrics are available for printing on the website. We send out a call for preregistration cheques in August and January so that we can get a head start on updating our membership lists.

We are officially off for the months of July and August, since these two months, for most people, are the most action-packed and complicated of the year. So far, however, there has not been a summer when we haven't been invited to do several performances.

We have a number of "Snowbirds" in our choirs and other lucky souls who are able to travel for extended periods of time. Like any other membership (think YMCA) we do not pro-rate fees for this reason. Just take your music with you and practice while away. We do not take attendance, it is up to you to make sure you keep up to date. We will consider individual cases where the absence is due to illness or family problems. If you make a late start in the session your fees will be pro-rated.

Our choirs will occasionally hold a practice at a long-term care facility. There is nothing exceptional about these outings (apart from bringing a whole lot of joy to the residents!)--they are regular practices, which have just had a change of venue.
